In challenging times, I believe our true power and healing lies in our ability to be able to notice all that is still good, true and beautiful. Every morning I wake up, I look forward to seeing and feeling the sun's rays. If its cloudy or raining, I still look forward to it returning. Sure, the sun has always been there, but it seems to shine a little bit brighter these days; because I'm noticing and appreciating what it brings. It is a reminder to me that "everything will be ok". It is also a reminder that although some uncertainty and instability is present, there is still a lot of certainty that abounds. I wake up most mornings to the sound of birds outside my window and it gives me a sense of calm. I smile when I hear my grand giggling, playing and enjoying his surroundings. There is still so much to be grateful for and if we can search it out and tune into the beauty we find, it can bring us to a place of peace, hopefulness and "alrightness".
